Subject: [Fencing] New fencing Schedule Starts Oct 18th

  As of Oct 18th we will be losing the gym on Sat, Tues and Thursday

We will be moving upstairs to the aerobics room Sat 10-12, and Wed and 
Friday 6:30-8:30

Thing are going to be crowded, so we will probably have to split epee 
and foil to keep numbers manageable.

The Gym is available on Sundays, so you are interested we will have 
bouting on Sundays for anyone who wants to come.  1-3 PM.

Please let me know your thoughts.

We are also looking into an alternative location, so if you know of any 
appropriate space for rent, please let me know.

Subject: [Fencing] Saber gear on sale

  For those who are interested in getting saber started here in Helena, 
Physical Chess is selling saber lames on ebay for $20-30 new.  This is 
an outstanding price since saber lames normally start at about $85.  
There are also saber masks at around $50 - $60.

Finances permitting, the club will be buying a few saber masks and lames 
since we are planning on adding saber to our other classes.  We hope to 
be hosting a saber clinic very soon with the help of the Missoula club.

Please make sure you get your October equipment fees in.

  I'd like to remind everyone to pay their $10 equipment fee for October 
(this does not include people in the beginners class).

The club has purchased several electric saber masks and saber lames, and 
we hope to be starting a saber class very soon.

Remember, your fees pay for new equipment and repairs.  We receive no 
funding from the YMCA.

Subject: [Fencing] Youth Match Nov 20th Missoula

The Missoula Fencing Association is hosting the first youth tournament 
November 20th, 2010.  This is a chance for younger fencers to compete 
with people their own age.

USFA membership is not required, but there is a $10 fee for each event 
entered.

Events are broken down by USFA age group and include all three weapons.

U16 (Cadet)     1995-1998
U19 (Junior)     1992-1998
