I will have my camera to shoot some photos and video. As always, guests are welcome. This will be our last practice until January 5, although we may have some times available during the Christmas break at an alternate location. I need to check with Taryn, but the plan looks like beginning epee on Mondays, beginning foil on Tuesdays and open fencing and advanced foil and epee on Wednesdays. Fencers are welcome on any day, But Mondays and Tuesdays will be primarily devoted to beginning classes. Advanced fencers are welcome to bout with each other and practice techniques at that time. Wednesdays will be devoted to bouting and individual instruction. Dues are $15 per month, plus $10 equipment fee for those using club equipment. Those signing up for classes may pay a class fee of $40 for the 8 week class instead of the regular monthly dues. There is a $10 glove fee for those who don;t have their own glove. The glove is yours to keep. To sign up for classes, just show up on any practice. The fee has not yet been determined and we will let everyone know ASAP. Right now it looks like $10 for the first event, and $5 for each additional event. We will also have open bouting for those who wish to fence. There will be a new schedule starting in January. We will have 4 categories: Junior Foil: Under 18 Open Foil: All ages Junior Epee: Under 18 Open Epee: All ages The entrance fee is $10 + $5 for each additional event. Fees go to pay for facilities use. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event This is NOT a USFA event, and electronic scoring equipment will not be used. We will run the even per USFA practices, with a seeding round and DE round. We will be running two strips, and space may be a little tight.
